Our Story

From Passion to Purpose

Golden Chicks was born from a simple idea: Zimbabwean farmers deserve access to world-class poultry stock without the world-class price tag. Founded in 2025 by poultry enthusiast and farmer Artkins, we started with a small flock in Waterfalls.

Just one year on, Golden Chicks already operates one of Harare's most promising free-range poultry facilities, supplying birds to commercial farmers, smallholders, NGO-supported community projects, and backyard farmers across Zimbabwe.

Our philosophy is simple: healthy land, healthy birds, healthy communities. Every bird that leaves Golden Chicks has been raised with care, fed with purpose, and prepared to perform on your farm.

Veterinary Oversight

A resident vet oversees bird health daily. Vaccination schedules are strictly maintained for Newcastle, Gumboro, Marek's, and IBD.

Champion Bloodlines

Our breeding stock comes from internationally recognised, high-performance bloodlines optimised for the Zimbabwean climate.

Free-Range Standards

Birds enjoy minimum 4m² of outdoor space per bird, natural foraging, and balanced nutrition for superior growth and immunity.

Sustainable Practices

Zero-waste farming. Manure composted for partner vegetable farms. Solar-powered brooding units reduce our carbon footprint.

Farmer Training

We offer free farm visits and quarterly workshops on poultry management, biosecurity, and flock health to all our customers.
